2016 Guajolote Red Blend, Suscol Springs, Napa Valley
Each wine variety that goes into Guajolote is independently fermented in stainless steel tanks with manual punchdowns to extract color and flavor. We carefully taste and assess the components before blending, then age in French oak barrels to integrate the red blend’s intensity and highlight its structure and spice.

Guajolote is Spanish for ‘wild turkey,’ and you’ll see a few of these substantial birds moseying around our Suscol Springs Ranch in Napa Valley. This California red wine is a unique blend of both Bordeaux and Rhone grape varieties—merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, syrah, and grenache—cultivated in the same growing site.
