2016 Cuttings Wharf Vineyard Chardonnay, Carneros, Napa Valley
We harvest these grapes at night when the acidity and fruit are in perfect balance. The wine ferments in French oak barrels and a portion goes through malolactic fermentation to add creamy texture. Aging for more than a year in French oak, with stirring of the yeast lees, adds extraordinary richness and complexity.
Grapes for this classic Carneros chardonnay come exclusively from our Cuttings Wharf Ranch. The wine offers enchanting floral aromas, hints of golden apple, complex vanilla and mineral notes, and a long, refreshing finish.
