2024 Apple Barn Vineyard Pinot Noir

Anderson Valley

Rooted in a site with its own character and history, Apple Barn Pinot Noir is crafted with a thoughtful, hands-on approach. It’s quietly expressive and beautifully composed, offering a sense of place without feeling formal—an inviting bottle that rewards slowing down and sharing the moment.

This single vineyard Pinot Noir showcases the character of the Apple Barn Vineyard with enticing aromas of black cherry, blueberry pie, and dark plum, layered with delicate hints of hibiscus and cedar. On the palate, vibrant notes of strawberry jam and dark berries unfold alongside baking spice and a touch of candied ginger. A full, textured mid-palate with seamlessly integrated tannins leads to a harmonious finish, where fresh fruit, sweet oak, and a lively acidity come together in perfect balance.

Farming for the Future

Easy dinners at home with friends and pasta with tomato or wild mushroom sauces, wood-fired pizza, or anything with a savory, herb-driven profile.

On Anderson Valley’s southern edge, this former apple orchard produces Pinot Noir with vibrant character, refined texture, and a touch of minerality. The maritime climate produces slow, even ripening for aromatic depth and balanced acidity, while gravelly soils and diverse clones add layers of complexity.
Two consecutive winters of abundant rainfall set the stage for healthy vine growth and exceptional fruit development in the 2024 season. In Anderson Valley, warm days and cool nights throughout spring and summer allowed for slow, even ripening building full, concentrated flavors while preserving fresh acidity. As harvest approached, consistent warmth in August and September delivered the finishing touch, producing Pinot Noir clusters with remarkable depth and expressive aromatics.
