About This Event
In honor of the annual folk festival in Munich, Germany, we present traditional Bavarian recipes with a Northern California twist. What’s that? Oktoberfest calls for beer, you say? We think wine lovers can get in on the fun too! So throw on your lederhosen and join us at Cakebread Cellars for wine, food and a whimsical nod to the Bavarian sense of gemütlichkeit — cordiality. ~ MENU ~ To Start ~ Grilled Trout with Meyer Lemon Aioli · Housemade Pretzels with Maple Mustard · Wiener Schnitzel with Pickle Relish ~ At the Table ~ Sauerbraten with Herb Spätzle · House-Made Bratwurst and Braised Red Cabbage · Morello Cherry & Apple Kuchen ~ All classes are participation style and include the class, a tour of the winery and culinary gardens (weather permitting), an appetizer reception and a three-course lunch paired with Cakebread Cellars wines. All participants leave with a Cakebread Cellars apron, a booklet of recipes and wine notes from the day, some great memories and quite often, new friends.
