Who doesn’t love pasta? And fresh pasta can’t be beat. In this class, we’ll teach you how to make pasta dough and match pasta shapes to sauces.
Then the fun begins as you set to work making fresh kale malfatti (a old-school Napa classic), butternut squash agnolotti dressed in brown butter and sage, spaghetti carbonara with nettles, and hearty spinach pappardelle with a rich duck bolognaise. We’ll continue the ode to Italy with cannelloni with ricotta, frais de bois and pistachios to conclude the meal. All enjoyed with a selection of Cakebread wines.
All classes are participation style and include a tour of the property, a tasting of Cakebread Cellars wines (except for the children’s classes), the cooking class and a three-course lunch paired with wine. All participants leave with a Cakebread Cellars logo apron, a booklet of the recipes and wine notes from the day, some great memories and quite often, new friends.
