Get into the holiday spirit and pick up some inspiration for your own holiday get-togethers with this festive cooking class that features new takes on some holiday classics.
We’ll start with hors d’oeuvres of crab tostadas with guacamole and tomatillo salsa, crostini with carrot, goat cheese and dukkah, and then sit down to a festive spread of smoked turkey with gingersnap gravy, parsnip puree, acorn squash with feta, pomegranate seeds and mint, and sausage, mushroom and sage stuffing followed by apple pie and a pumpkin chiffon pie.
And no holiday meal is complete without wine, so your meal with be paired with an array of red and white wines from the Cakebread cellar.
All classes are participation style and include a tour of the property, a tasting of Cakebread Cellars wines (except for the children’s classes), the cooking class and a three-course lunch paired with wine. All participants leave with a Cakebread Cellars logo apron, a booklet of the recipes and wine notes from the day, some great memories and quite often, new friends.
