Looking for a perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day? We suggest escaping to Napa Valley for a day to share a decadent meal, an array of Cakebread wines, and some quality time with that someone special. We’ll spend the morning cooking together in the Winery House kitchen, then shed the aprons to relax and enjoy a leisurely reception and lunch. We’ll start with tuna tartare with lime crème fraîche, truffle popcorn and tortilla espagnola with romesco sauce. Then sit down to a lunch of lobster salad with mango and avocado, andouille-crusted filet mignon with garlic sauce and a chocolate soufflé with chai crème anglaise to end the day on a sweet note. All enjoyed with a selection of wines from the Cakebread cellar.
All classes are participation style and include a tour of the property, a tasting of Cakebread Cellars wines (except for the children’s classes), the cooking class and a three-course lunch paired with wine. All participants leave with a Cakebread Cellars logo apron, a booklet of the recipes and wine notes from the day, some great memories and quite often, new friends.
