David (Dave) Griffiths is the Director of Direct to Consumer for Cakebread Cellars. Over his long career in the wine industry Dave has worked with luxury, import, and domestic retail wines, and appreciates all regions, varietals, and styles.

Originally from the Midwest, this Purdue graduate began his career in Chicago at Terlato Wines International, where he worked with Italian suppliers Pio Cesare, Il Poggione, Nonino (grappa), Lungarotti and Mastroberardino, as well Wairau River (New Zealand) and a handful of smaller domestic wineries. He took a 3-month sabbatical during his time at Terlato to travel throughout Italy and document harvests in Piedmont, Montalcino and Umbria.

Prior to joining Cakebread Cellars in Napa Valley, he served as Trade Marketing Manager for Allied Domecq and Brand Manager for Chateau Ste. Michelle.

David lives in Napa with his wife and two young children. Having also lived in Seattle, he appreciates a good cup of coffee, Pearl Jam, and being outdoors.
