Carneros Napa Valley
July 2005
"Highlighted by spice and gamey smells that belong squarely
to the Syrah camp, this ripe and accessible wine finds more than
enough blackberry fruit in nose and again in the mouth to more than
hold it own. Not surprisingly, it takes on its share of gruff
tannins at the close, but not enough to lose focus or immediate
drinkability yet enough to warrant anywhere from three to six years
of bottle aging."
Connoisseurs gave this
wine a score of one puff.

Wine Spectator Insider July 27, 2005
Wonderful aromas of rich, meaty wild berry, currant and beef
carpaccio, with complex earth, mineral, sage and dusty cedar notes.
Intense and concentrated, it's impeccably balanced, finishing
with a rich aftertaste. Drink now through 2010.
Wine Spectaor gave this wine a score of 91 points.
