Connoisseurs Guide to Wine logo

Deep, well-formed black cherry fruit sits at the heart of this one, and, if graced with complexing touches of dried herbs, there is nary a hint of "greenness" to be found. The wine is sturdy and fairly full on the palate with plenty of extract and a firm spine of gritty young tannins that begs comparison to Cabernet, but this is a serious Merlot that wants aging, and it promises to evolve famously for five or more years. Our 2008 Merlot was awarded one puff.one puff
