Cakebread Cellars Reviews: 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

2007 Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley

The Wine AdvocateeRobert Parker.com

December 2010

"The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is among the finest “regular” Cabernet Sauvignons I have tasted from Cakebread. It exhibits a dense ruby/purple color, stunning purity, subtle notes of smoke, black currants, blackberries, spring flowers and toast, good acidity and ripe tannin. This full-bodied yet graceful, deep, silky Cabernet Sauvignon is already irresistible, but it will provide provocative and complex drinking for 15-20 years."

Robert Parker has given our 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 92 points.

Decanter

Very spicy, mineral, black fruit and herb aromas. Soft, cool and round with a sweet mid-palate, soft tannins and a mineral finish.  Well made with a good balance of fruit and acidity – lovely integrations. Drink 2012-2015. Decanter magazine rated this 2007 Cabneret Sauvignon Napa Valley 'Highly Recommended' with 4 stars.
