Napa Valley

November 15, 2005
The big 01's are still rolling out. This one's very fine
and Oakville-y, showing well-oaked, lush black currant and
cassis fruit, with aq cocoa finish. It has soft, intricately
sweet tannins. It's quite delicious now, but seems balanced
enough to age through the medium term. Drink before 2010.
Wine Enthusiast gave this wine a score of 92 points.
August-September 2005
Medium to medium-dark ruby; attractive, forward, plummy,
tarrish, dark currant and black cherry fruit aroma with
notes of chocolate and charred oak; full body; spicy, cedary,
black fruit flavors with a full, rounded mouth-feel; firmly
structured; full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Needs several
more years of bottle ageing. Highly recommended.
